Alpha Star

Post-emergence systemic herbicide for the control of annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds
Active ingredient:

Tribenuron-methyl, 750 g/kg

Working fluid consumption rates:
200-300 l/ha.
Preparative norm:
Water dispersible granules
Container:
0.5 kg

Alfa-Star provides effective control of most annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds, including those resistant to 2,4-D group drugs. For maximum effectiveness, the herbicide should be applied during the period of active growth of weeds in the 2-4 leaf phase of annuals and rosette (10-15 cm) of perennials.
The systemic action of the drug allows it to penetrate through the leaves to the roots,
destroying the entire plant. The best period for controlling pink thistle is in the
rosettes, and in the common marigold – up to the 4th whorl. Due to the rapid decay
There are no restrictions on the use of the drug in the soil for subsequent crops in crop rotation.

Tribenuron-methyl stops cell division in sensitive weeds, resulting in
their growth stops a few hours after treatment. Visible symptoms
appear after 5-8 days, and the death of weeds occurs after 10-25 days. Less
sensitive weeds and those in a later stage of growth may not
die, but their growth stops and they no longer compete with the crop
for nutrient and water consumption. Warm weather increases the speed of action
herbicide, and cool and dry conditions slow it down.

The drug cannot be used if the plants are wet from dew or rain, as well as
if rain is expected within three hours after application. In case of dense standing
culture or very heavy clogging, the maximum volume should be used
working fluid. To expand the spectrum of controlled dicotyledonous weeds
possible use of tank mixtures: Alfa-Star (10-15 g/ha) + Alfa-Dicamba
(0.15-0.2 l/ha) + surfactant Alfalip Extra (0.2-0.25 l/ha); Alfa-Star (15-20 g/ha) +
Hammer (15-20 g/ha) + surfactant Alfalip Extra (0.2-0.25 l/ha).
When used with other drugs or surfactants
First, pour Alfa-Star into the sprayer tank, and then add all other products. The working solution must be used within 24 hours.

Advantages:
  • A wide range of weeds controlled, especially such as thistles,
    tenacious marigold, etc.
  • Extended application period: from 2 leaves to the appearance of the flag
    leaf.
  • The effect on weeds begins 2-3 hours after application.
  • There are no restrictions on crop rotation.
